Beaches Turks & Caicos

Well, it’s been a bucket list item for a very long time and I was super excited to finally get the chance to go to Beaches Turks & Caicos!

This fantastic family resort is perfect for a vacation any time but would be amazing for couples who are parents themselves or who will have many children as guests at their wedding. It has been voted the World’s Best All-Inclusive Family Resort for 20 years in a row and it’s easy to see why!

The resort is owned by the same people that bring you Sandals so you know it’s going to be luxurious!

The resort itself is set up in five different “villages”, each with its own distinct flavour:

  • The Key West Village is a 6* Diamond Award Winner and sports some of the best restaurants on property

  • The Italian Village is also 6* Diamond Award winning and bustles with activity from it’s amazing pool to restaurants and fashionable Italian architecture. There are fountains, sculptures, a piazza and so much more!

  • The Caribbean Village is where your standard rooms are located and this is basically more what you would usually find on a Caribbean vacation. Lush greenery and ocean views.

  • The grand French Village is the only one that is NOT at the ocean but wow! The architecture and grounds are amazing. You really feel like you are in Paris.

  • The Seaside Village is similar to the Caribbean Village with lush tropical grounds and amazing views of the ocean.

They say that “it’s all about the beach” here and that’s true. The resort is on Grace Bay, voted the world’s #1 beach according to TripAdvisor. There is literally 12 miles of beautiful white sand beach and it’s perfect. Not rocky or too deep or too rough for the little ones. And there’s plenty of beach chairs and cabanas to enjoy!

Being Beaches, there is phenomenal programming for children, tweens and teens to keep them entertained day and night while the parents get to have some fun! Whether it is the Sesame Street themed Kids Camp or the Microsoft Xbox Lounge or the amazing Pirates Island Waterpark with its 10 waterslides and 650′ lazy river… Getting bored is not possible!

Scuba diver? Two tanks per day are included for certified divers! No pulling out your VISA here! And the dive sites are incredible… sharks, rays, sea turtles, barracuda and more! I hear that there is a friendly dolphin that makes his rounds but I didn’t see him when I was there. There is a PADI Dive Centre right on property, oceanside between the Caribbean and French Villages. (Did I mention the sharks?)

The watersports such as kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing, etc. are also all included. We walked right out from the beach to a coral reef to go snorkeling ourselves and were treated to a variety of colourful fish and sea turtles!

There are six pools on property. The largest are the Italian Village and the French Village pool.

Red Lane Spa is there at the resort to pamper you day or night! All sorts of massages, skin treatments and other glorious options will enhance your together time.

Dining? So much to choose from with 21 different eateries on property. Some of the options include:

  • Dino’s Pizzeria
  • The Jerk Shack
  • Soy (sushi)
  • Giuseppe’s (Italian)
  • Barefoot by the Sea (seafood)
  • Schooner’s (seafood)
  • Sapodillas (Caribbean)
  • Kimono’s (teppenyaki)
  • Bobby Dee’s (American)
  • Le Petit Chateau (French)
  • Bombay Club (Indian)
  • Sky (contemporary)

There are locations around the property for wedding setups. I was a big fan of the oceanside gazebo for smaller weddings.
