Secrets Silversands is a gorgeous modern adults-only property in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. It is a AAA Four Diamond resort.
I had the pleasure of staying here for a few days and while the weather was not the best for the time of my stay, it was certainly a fabulous stay! I have nothing but good things to say about it!
The gardens are really cool – with these white statues that light up at night…. so pretty! Note the stone gazebo surrounded by the trees in the garden. This is another great spot for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions for up to 60 people.
Modern clean lines in the lobby and main areas, all fresh and new! Very elegant restaurants including private dining options in a wine cellar!

Okay, time to talk about weddings! They have an over the water gazebo that is suitable for a ceremony for 80 guests. Today it was decorated for a small dinner reception….
Of course there is a beach area for weddings and receptions that can accommdate up to 200 people. Another area for 200 guests is the Terrace. The garden area is great for up to 100 guests.
Secrets Silversands has four wedding packages, starting with the more basic package that is complimentary up to their top of the line “Beyond Memorable” package for weddings of around 100 guests (cost is $11,999 USD for that).
They also do South Asian destination weddings at Secrets Silversands. The Dulha and Dulhan package is great value offering a Welcome Cocktail hour, the Sangeet & Mehndi event, the Baraat, the ceremony and reception all for as little as $7500 USD (up to 79 guests). Their Shaadi South Asian destination wedding package is the other option, being very comprehensive with six private events over three days.
And just to be sure to mention, Secrets Silversands is more than happy to host your LGBT destination wedding! They are very welcoming to same sex couples looking to be married.
Overall, I loved this resort and wish I could have stayed longer!
