Sun Palace in Cancun, Mexico is a 5* boutique style property that is for couples only (18+). It is one of the few Palace resorts that will allow LGBT destination weddings to take place.
It has about 250 rooms and has a fantastic spot on the pristine white sand beach in the Cancun hotel zone. It is only 12km from the airport.
Dining options include (of course) Buffet, Italian, a Fresh Market Grill and (yay!) a Thai restaurant! Honestly, it’s pretty rare to find Thai food at all-inclusive resorts….
Destination wedding options are many and follow Palace Resorts standard themes (the basic complimentary, then the Nautical theme, Sunset, Royale, Ravishing Red, Lavender Luxe, Pearl Shimmer….etc.). We can certainly help you pick your favourite! In the photos I took below there was a setup for their Nautical themed package (with the navy blue and stripes).
This is a good choice for smaller, more intimate destination weddings. It is also great for same sex destination weddings. (In fact, if you like Palace properties, it is one of only maybe two that do LGBT destination weddings as their policy is they will only do them at their adults-only hotels). For South Asian destination weddings I would recommend you go not too far away to Moon Palace, another Palace property that specializes in South Asian destination weddings.
